Marine Le Pen stands with Donbass, so I stand with her / By Adam Garrie / The Duran / November 19, 2016 / I concede that my initial hesitation in supporting Marine Le Pen was mainly due to the political reputation of her father. Her father seemed to glory in being on the wrong side of history in respect of the Second World War. His sympathies seemed to be not with the heroes of the 9th of May, but with the fascist regimes and their puppets in Europe who destroyed the lives of millions. Jean-Marie Le Pen was and remains a nasty man whose nostalgia for the collaborationist Vichy French State remains unshaken. However, it is unfair and morally wrong to punish a child for the sins of the father. I admit that my hesitation with offering full support to Marine Le Pen was only because of this. My mind was ultimately changed when I heard Miss. Le Pen offer her condolences for the victims of the war in Donbass. Unlike her father, she has bravely stood against fascism and the neo-liberal fools in Europe who have allowed it to foment and take power in Kiev. Even Nigel Farage and Donald Trump have not gone so far as to put hand on heart and offer . . . MORE>> Click here.

New protests In Kiev spell downfall for the fascist regime / By Adam Garrie / The Duran / November 19, 2016 / The fascist regime in Kiev is under fire from many of its erstwhile supporters as well as ordinary people left out of the far-right dream of a ‘new’ Ukraine. Banks have been collapsing left and right, with ordinary account holders being left with nothing. Utility bills have skyrocketed now that Kiev has made enemies of states like Russia, who once gave them a free ride in terms of gas and other essentials. The free market is turning out to be rather expensive, indeed. Pensions are wholly inadequate, social benefits which were never ideal are being cut, purchasing power has plummeted as have living standards. Jumping into this fray are the gangs of neo-Nazis who are always hungry for an excuse to protest a government that isn’t quite far enough to the right for their liking. Ukrainian interior minister Arsen Avakov has said that, “…provocateurs and rioters should be detained and isolated. The details of their involvement, guilt and punishment will be determined in court”. The irony of this statement ought not to be lost on anyone. When President Yanukovych attempted to maintain law and order during the western funded coup of 2014 he was criticised by the western mainstream media. Now, when a minister of the regime the . . . Trump And The Balkans / By Andrew Korybko / Katehon.com / November 19, 2016 / There’s a lot of talk in the Balkans about what sort of a leader Trump will be and how his foreign policy will impact on the region. Although he was only just elected last week and still has over two months to go before officially coming to power, it’s already possible to make some predictions in attempting to answer those questions. Greeks In Government: The strongest indication yet about what Trump’s Balkan policy may look like comes from the appointment of Reince Priebus as his Chief of Staff. This prestigious and high-profile position will be occupied by a Greek Orthodox believer who was born to a Greek mother, so it can confidently be inferred that he has a strong sense of Greek identity which obviously plays to the Republic of Macedonia’s disadvantage vis-à-vis the name issue and other matters of mutual discord. The second factor playing in Greece’s favor is the fact that Stephen K. Bannon was appointed at the same time as Trump’s Chief Strategist. This is important because Bannon used to run the wildly successful alternative media outlet Breitbart just prior to taking on his mid-summer responsibilities as the CEO of Trump’s campaign. One of the most popular writers on the site is Milo Yiannopoulos, an outspoken homosexual of Greek descent and someone who is not at all expected to be friendly to Macedonia or its culture of conservative values. Given Breitbart’s closeness to the Trump Administration, writers such as Milo might exert a disproportionate influence on the President’s policy formulation. Soros And Macedonia: Neither Priebus, Bannon, nor Yiannopoulos are good for Macedonia, but on the other hand, the Trump team’s antipathy to Color Revolution financier George Soros is well known and could play to the country’s advantage. It’s too early to tell, but with Soros practically declaring war on Trump and reorienting his focus towards the US and away from other parts of the world (at least for now), there’s a chance that the NGO-driven Color Revolution tumult of . . . slavnov10-16wAleksandr Zakharchenko commented on the election of Donald Trump as the US President / DONi News / November 10, 2016 / “Two-year experience of war and political confrontation has taught us to be careful in estimates. Yes, the rhetoric of Donald Trump during the pre-election campaign gave a hope that the aggressive foreign policy of Washington could be changed and the US would finally take care of itself not of others. However I understand that Trump will become the part of the American political system after he moves to the White House. And it is not necessarily the fact that he could be able to confront it while being inside of it the same as he was doing it now being ‘outside’. So I feel, let us just say, precautionary optimism. And the Ukrainian policy of Washington with Trump will become a litmus test for us. If Trump takes control on Nazi and banderists in Kiev and forces Ukraine to start a direct dialogue with us in the framework of conflict settlement then it is possible to say that we favor the victory of Trump in the elections. Until then – we wait” – the DPR Head Aleksandr Zakharchenko. Quemado Institute comments: When Poroshenko visited the U.S. earlier this fall, he requested visits with both Clinton and Trump. Clinton met with him. Trump did not even return his call. Remember also, Ukrainian oligarchs have given millions to the Clinton Foundation. Indeed the foundations biggest donor was from Kiev. Zakharchenko is right not to be complacent and to remain vigilant. Yet it seems likely Trump will at the very least withdraw U.S. financial and military support from Kiev, although it is doubtful he would encourage Ukraine’s implementation of Minsk, an agreement that should fail for the sake of Novorossiya’s independence.

slavnov10-16vAleksandr Zakharchenko: Kiev awaits commands from its overseas masters / DONi News / November 10, 2016 / The DPR Head commented on the situation at the contact linel. The situation at the front line remains tense. The situation has been deteriorated for the past two weeks. The fighting takes place along the whole front line. I suppose that it`s connected to the fact that Ukraine expected that Hillary Clinton would become the President of the US. She promised to provide Ukraine with the lethal weapons and to strengthen general military assistance. And while waiting for the implementation of these promises, Kiev decided to increase a pressure on us. Election of Trump appeared to be a shock for Ukraine. And now Kiev awaits commands from the overseas masters. That is why tonight the situation was more stable than yesterday`s as for the shelling – Kiev doesn`t know what to do. Nevertheless, Ukraine continues preparing for a war. The forces and means are concentrated at three directions – the south, Dokuchaevsk and Gorlovka. But I have repeatedly stated – we are ready not only to fight back but we are also ready for counteroffensive. Let them start. Then we will talk near Kiev already. And certainly in the nearest future we will talk at the border of the Donetsk People`s Republic.

DPR head accuses Ukrainian security service official of involvement in militiaman murder / TASS / November 10, 2016 / DONETSK / Head of the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) in the Donetsk region Vitaly Marikov is involved in the murder of a militia commander of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Arsen Pavlov, nicknamed Motorola, head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko told reporters on Thursday. “I am ready to name those involved in Motorola’s murder. As the SBU head in the Donetsk region, he supervises the activities of the subversive groups in Donbass,” The Donetsk News Agency quoted Zakharchenko as saying. Arsen Pavlov was killed on October 16 in Donetsk in his apartment building. Well-known British video journalist Graham Phillips interviews passersby in the city of Lugansk, Lugansk People’s Republic, Novorossiya, asking what they think about Donald Trump’s victory in the U.S. elections. Spontaneous smiles and hopeful responses suggest most of the people there admire Trump for his positive outlook, his policies on world peace, and his promise of better relations with Russia. Most see Hillary Clinton as more warlike. One woman even said the old lady was too sick to govern. Surprisingly, these articulate and charming people thousands of miles across the globe seem more educated about the U.S. elections than Americans themselves.

slavoct27-16zUkraine Secret Service kidnaps LPR Civilians / Translated by TamrikoT; Edited by GBabeuf / Slavyangrad.org / October 26, 2016 / Ukrainian intelligence agency kidnapped the parents of an LPR People’s Militia commander. The intelligence agencies of Ukraine continue using cynical, cruel, and inhumane methods against the civilian population of the Donbass. One more case in this vein was the kidnapping of the parents of the commander of a detachment of the People’s Militia, Lieutenant-Colonel Igor Sidorenko. This, according to the correspondent of IA Novorossiya, was reported today by the chief of department of the People’s Militia of the LPR, Colonel Oleg Anashchenko, at a briefing in Lugansk. slavoct27-16tDonetsk Militia Spots More Foreign Mercenaries, This Time From Poland / Sputnik / October 27, 2016 / Forty mercenaries from Poland, along with up to 100 men from the ultra-nationalist Right Sector volunteer corps, have been spotted taking up positions between two and four km from the front lines in eastern Ukraine, according to Donetsk People’s Republic defense spokesman Eduard Basurin. / Speaking to the Donetsk News Agency on Monday and citing DPR intelligence, Basurin said that the mercenaries and volunteer troops have occupied homes in the villages they’re based in “despite the protests of local residents.” “Near the village of Shirokaya Balka, two km from the line of contact, two trucks arrived, carrying 40 Polish mercenaries,” the military spokesman said. “In the area near the village of Verhnetoretskoe, four km from the front, the arrival of up to 100 personnel Right Sector volunteer corps has been observed,” he added. Also on Monday, Basurin reported that the Ukrainian army has placed heavy artillery, tanks and mortars in territories near the front line, including Kleban Byk, Gorlovka and outside the city of Donetsk. Last Thursday, Basurin said that DPR intelligence had reported spotting eighty mercenaries, believed to be French and Italian, at the Kramatorsk airport, controlled by Kiev forces. On October 15, human intelligence sources from the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic reported the arrival of “several hundred” foreign mercenaries, believed to come from countries including the US, Canada, the Baltic states and Poland. The mercs were reported to have created three camps in the Ukrainian-controlled settlements of Bobrovskoye and Bobrovo, near Severodonetsk. On October 12, it was reported that the Ukrainian military unsuccessfully attempted to break through militia positions near Mariupol, leaving fifteen foreign mercenaries dead and another 25 troops injured. Last week, DPR parliament speaker Denis Pushilin said that Ukrainian forces near Mariupol have been conducting regular probing attacks using ‘significant’ forces. “In the event of a large-scale offensive, we will find the strength and means for an adequate counter-offensive,” the official warned. Late last month, observers from the OSCE’s Special Monitoring Mission confirmed spotting Georgian-speaking mercenaries near the front line in Lugansk. The civil war in eastern Ukraine began in April 2014, when Kiev moved the Ukrainian army into the restless regions of Donetsk and Lugansk, where local residents came out in opposition to new authorities taking power in the Maidan coup d’état in February of that year. Locals soon formed militia units, and the two sides engaged in a fratricidal war against one another until February 2015, when they agreed to a ceasefire deal in talks brokered by Russia, France, Germany and Ukraine in the Belarusian capital of Minsk. Since then, a shaky ceasefire has been in place, although violations are reported almost daily. Kiev has been accused of refusing to adhere to the Minsk Peace Plan, by attempting to see its provisions fulfilled out of order. The leaders of the fledgling Donbass republics, meanwhile, have repeatedly insisted that the agreement’s thirteen points must be implemented in the order they were agreed to.

slavoct27-16vChurkin: Kiev lacks the humanity and courage to apologize to Donbass / Translated by J. Arnoldski / Fort Russ / October 27, 2016 / Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vitaly Churkin, is sure that the bloodshed in South-East Ukraine could be avoided if the country’s authorities apologized to the population of the DPR and LPR like Verkhovna Rada deputy Nadezhda Savchenko proposed. The Russian diplomat said this in commenting on the statement of the Verhkovna Rada’s vice speaker, Irina Gerashchenko, made at a meeting of the UN Security council in which the Kiev representative once again accused Russia of aggression against Ukraine. In addition, the Ukrainian politician called Savchenko “the most famous prisoner of the Kremlin freed in exchange for military personnel from the Russian Army.” “In her speech, Ukraine’s representative mentioned Nadezhda Savchenko. After being pardoned, she returned to her homeland where she stated that Kiev should apologize to the residents of Donetsk and Lugansk. It is a pity that Ukrainian authorities don’t have enough humanity or political courage to do so,” Churkin said. According to Churkin, the inter-Ukrainian crisis would have been resolved long ago if Kiev didn’t attempt time and time again to change the Minsk Agreements. He stressed: “There would have been no conflict in Donbass if Kiev had not opted for armed suppression of the dissent that arose after a coup backed by foreign forces was carried out in the country.” Russia’s UN representative added that for two years already “Ukrainian security forces have shelled residential areas of Donetsk and Lugansk, as a result of which civilians, including women and children, have been killed.” He referred to the UN High Commissioner for Human Right’s report on abductions and torture to which Ukrainian forces have subjected women.

slavoct27-16uContact Group for Ukraine to discuss creation of security zones in Donbass / DONi News / October 27, 2016 / The Contact Group for the Ukraine settlement will hold a regular meeting in Minsk on Wednesday, the first after the recent Normandy Four summit in Berlin where the leaders of Germany, Russia, Ukraine and France agreed to work out a roadmap for implementing the Minsk Accords. It was decided that advisers to the Normandy Four leaders would be the first to work over the new document. The foreign ministers will agree on it in November. After that, the leaders of the four countries will approve the roadmap. Under these circumstances, the Contact Group will apparently have to wait for the appearance of a roadmap on all major issues. The maximum what the sides can do at this stage is to discuss private matters within the economic group and prepare a list of areas for the next disengagement of forces by the sides in conflict. It is necessary to complete the creation of the first three security zones and agree on the next four, the “quartet’s” leaders said after meeting in Berlin. According to a source close to the talks, the participants in the Minsk meeting are to analyze the reasons why the sides in conflict have failed to disengage their forces near Stanitsa Luganskaya, reports TASS. A group on humanitarian issues has put off its meeting to November 9, sources in the Donetsk People’s Republic said last week. The republics (DPR and LPR), which are ready for the second stage of disengagement of forces and weapons, have prepared proposals on seven districts. However, the Wednesday meeting in Minsk is unlikely to produce any coordinated decision on this matter. No breakthroughs are expected in the work of the political group. Kiev continues insisting on priority of security issues. Given all this, a roadmap is the only thing, which can unblock the situation. After the Berlin summit, it was announced that the roadmap called for synchronizing the security and political steps and setting concrete deadlines to fulfil the assigned tasks.

Ukraine’s self-proclaimed republics against deploying armed OSCE mission to Donbass / TASS / October 24, 2016 / The self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DPR, LPR) are unalterably opposed to deploying an armed mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) to the Donbass region, DPR envoy to the talks in Minsk, Denis Pushilin, said on Monday. “DPR and LPR are strongly opposed to the presence of OSCE armed units on the territory of the self-proclaimed republics,” he told a TASS round-table conference dedicated to the results of the Berlin Normandy Four summit and the prospects of the Minsk process. “This is not only the stance of our leaders. This is also the stance of our citizens. This is confirmed by the recent demonstrations that brought together thousands of people where our citizens clearly expressed their protest against Poroshenko’s initiatives.” Pushilin noted that the deployment of an armed mission to Donbass is a very complex issue, since, in fact, it is going to be an entirely new mission. To make this decision, a decision by all 57 OSCE member-countries is required. The process will be complicated by the fact that the issue at hand is the security of every citizen of an individual country, so positive results may not be achieved. According to Pushilin, it cannot be ruled out that a vote by the parliaments of the organization’s member-countries may be needed to make this decision. He added that currently the fact that OSCE Special Monitoring Mission observers have no weapons is the basic element of security. Pushilin recalled that not a single OSCE employee has been killed in the Donbass region during the conflict. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov earlier said that Vladimir Putin supported the idea of an OSCE police mission in Ukraine by and large. “It is true that President Putin responded with potential consent to the idea of such a mission,” presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has told the media. “But for the time being the OSCE has no understanding of how such a mission can be formed, where it is to be deployed and so on.” “In general there have been no . . . Russian expert says roadmap on Donbass will include special status provisions / TASS / October 24, 2016 / The road map on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict will be based on all of the Normandy Quartet’s previous agreements, which include the “Steinmeier formula” and four requirements drawn up at the Paris meeting on October 2, 2015, Deputy Director of the Russian Center for Current Politics Oleg Ignatov said. He noted that Russia had put forward its draft road map, France and Germany were expected to come up with a joint document, Ukraine would also present its point of view. “However it has already become clear that Germany, Russia and France share the opinion that the road map should take into account the “Steinmeier formula” and four requirements agreed on at the Paris summit,” the Russian expert said. According to Ignatov, “this means that Kiev will have to provide constitutional guarantees of the special status of Donbass republics and adopt a law granting amnesty for those taking part in the Donbass events with a specific date” and also to conduct regional elections. At the meeting held in Paris on October 2, 2015, the Normandy Quartet leaders agreed on specific steps aimed at advancing the process of implementation of the Minsk agreements. The steps included disengaging the warring sides controlled by the OSCE mission, providing constitutional guarantees of the special status of Donbass republics, withdrawal of heavy weapons under the OSCE’s round-the-clock monitoring as well as adopting a law granting amnesty for those taking part in the Donbass events with a specific date. This past January, the German foreign minister put forward a mechanism for settling the Donbass conflict later dubbed “the Steinmeier formula.” Germany’s top diplomat proposed to temporarily introduce a law on special local governance in specific areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions on the election day and bring it permanently into effect after the OSCE report on the elections have been published. At the summit held on October 19 in Berlin, the Normandy Quartet leaders agreed that a road map on the implementation of the Minsk accords should be hammered out by the end of November.

LPR suggests Kiev is trying to rewrite Minsk accords with help of roadmap / TASS / October 24, 2016 / Ukraine is trying to replace the Minsk agreements with its version of a roadmap to defuse the conflict in the Donbass region, heads of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DPR, LPR) to the Contact Group talks told TASS on Monday. “(Ukrainian President Pyotr) Poroshenko hopes that the roadmap will replace the Package of Measures,” said LPR envoy Vladislav Deynego. “The roadmap does not replace the Package of Measures, it spells out the details. What Poroshenko is talking about is some new agreements. However, all Normandy Four participants have expressed their commitment to the current document,” DPR envoy, Denis Pushilin, noted. Russian President Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko met in Berlin last week to discuss the settlement in eastern Ukraine. No documents were signed at the meeting. Nevertheless, an agreement was reached on developing a roadmap for the implementation of the Minsk agreements. This document is expected to be drafted and approved until the end of November. Commenting on the results of the summit, Poroshenko said that the roadmap should stipulate the transfer of control over Ukraine’s state border with Russia in the Donbass conflict zone to an armed OSCE mission until local elections envisaged by the Minsk agreements are held. However, Point 9 of the Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements states that control over the state border can only transferred to Kiev and only after local elections are held.

slavoct25-16sEurope is too obsessed with anti-Russian propaganda to care about Donbass / By Eliseo Bertolasi / Katehon.com / October 17, 2016 / I arrived at Donetsk a couple of weeks ago as an international observer on the elections, which took place on October 2nd. I can say that the DPR managed to organize independent and peaceful elections with respect to all international standards of freedom and democracy. There were absolutely no attempts to stop me from taking photos and videos during the elections, I had absolutely no difficulty in doing my work. As an observer, I can note the lack of violations during the elections. People came voting on their own, there was no coercion at all. I was surprised by the reaction of the people towards the Donbass elections – citizens were not just voting, but also actually celebrating this event. There was a public area near the point of voting, where people were dancing, everyone could get a free hot drink and a soldier’s porridge. For the DPR, this was a very important event, which showed to the West its ability to conduct an orderly election process. I am convinced that now Donbass is Russia’s first line of defense. This war is not just a local conflict, but a part of a front, which begins at the Baltic States and ends in Syria. Therefore, we can deduce that this conflict has an international value. In my opinion, in the future we are going to face a “Russian Spring”. This conflict is directed against the entire Russian . . . MORE>> Click here. [Photo gallery at source.]

slavoct15-16rFort Russ Exclusive Interview with Serbian volunteer in Donbass / Interview by Silvia Missotti; Translated by J. Arnoldski; Comments by Eduard Popov / Fort Russ / October 24, 2016 / On October 15th, Italian journalist Silvia Missotti, the Russia correspondent for the Italian publication “L’Opinione Pubblica” interviewed a Serbian volunteer from the army of the Donetsk People’s Republic known by the name Filip. Silvia Missotti has generously offered this text of the interview for exclusive publication on Fort Russ. Filip respectfully declined to be photographed or video-recorded. *** Silvia Missotti: Filip, please tell us briefly about yourself and why you decided to come to fight in the war in Donbass. Filip: I was in the ranks of the DPR militia for 10 months starting in May 2014. Both then and now, other Serbs have come to fight. I served as an officer in the Serbian army for some time, so by the time I came to Donbass, I already had combat experience. I fought against Albanian terrorists in Kosovo and Metohija. So I was professionally ready for fighting in Donbass. Why did I come to Donbass to fight on the side of the DPR? I consider this question . . . MORE>> Click here.

(Brief update)

slavoct24-16zMotorola is Dead, but Donbass Lives On / By Jim W. Dean / New Eastern Outlook / October 24, 2016 / The old saying of “three strikes and you’re out” came true for the beloved Donbass commander, Motorola, known as Arseniy Pavlov. He was one of the many Russian veterans who went to fight in East Ukraine in response to the threats from Ukraine’s Rada that they were going to slaughter the Russians there. In case anyone missed it, even the ladies got in on the mass killing hysteria, starting with Yulia Tymoshenko who wanted to nuke Donbass and then go on to nuke the Russians. Her phone call was intercepted and quickly found its way into Internet legend. There had already been two attempts on Motorola’s life this year, one on June 24th at a hospital he was scheduled to visit for an injury, when a car bomb went off with bad timing and missed him, and another attempt in August behind his apartment building. Veterans Today has seen similar cases with our own people over the years; situations we refer to as people not having mastered the art of knowing when to leave town, which is a necessary survival skill when you are in the field. Younger people tend to fall victim to this, and often the bravest. Whoever killed him probably could not believe their luck in his not moving, and focused their efforts at getting him cornered inside his building somehow, where the most vulnerable place is in the elevator. They placed a bomb on the easily accessible ceiling and detonated it remotely. Motorola and his bodyguard, whose name was not published, were killed instantly, their body armor and weapons being of no use to them. This is the kind of assassination that Special Ops people are trained to do, but we have seen no solid investigative evidence as to who did it yet. The head of the Donetsk Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko claimed he knew who the killer was, a Latvian who had infiltrated the militia, named Ozolinysh. But the photo posted of him on a Twitter report turned out to be that . . . MORE Click here.
